Ole Hanson Beach Club

This is hands down one of the nicest wedding venues in Southern California. My wife and I had our ceremony on the lawn this past November and the atmosphere was extremely relaxing and the views are unmatched. Watching the sunset over the ocean during our cocktail hour and dinner was breathtaking. The team at 24 carrots are fantastic and the catering is top notch. Not a single complaint from guests, in fact multiple people told us it was the nicest wedding they have ever been to. I will recommend this venue and the 24 carrots team all day.

Ole Hanson is incredible! As a wedding planner, it’s so important to have a wedding day team that compliments each other and the venue and it’s staff us arguably the most important part of that. If you're a bride looking to get married at Ole Hanson Beach Club we 100% say go for it. As wedding photographers, we loved photographing here because of its unique location and gorgeous Spanish architecture. The ceremony overlooking the ocean is simply breathtaking. If you're worried about the train going by you simply don't need to; it crosses quickly and is much less bothersome than it might seem. You also can't beat being able to take advantage of the white Spanish walls and tile staircase and then turn around and take a 1 minute walk down to the beach for newlywed photos! It's such a unique and convenient opportunity that most venues can't offer. Finally, the rooftop reception space has hands down some of the best sunset views in Southern California! I went to a wedding at this venue and it was beautiful! The ceremony took place on the lawn out front with the ocean as the backdrop. The ceremony started at 5pm and there were 2 trains that came through during it briefly. The minister had to pause because they were a bit loud. It was just for a minute and the couple laughed it off. It wasn’t an issue. I think because it was earlier in the day, they caught the last two trains of the day because there were no more that came through. Then we moved upstairs to the event space for a cocktail hour and dinner. The space is intimate and had spectacular views of the ocean. The dinner tables were arranged outside while most of the cocktail hour and the dancing later in the evening was inside with open windows and doors. The beach is so close that the couple were able to walk down and get pictures on the sand during this time as well. The food was absolutely delicious! Choice of mahi mahi or braised beef short rib. Both were excellent. Parking seemed to be in short supply now that I think about it. You’d probably have to use the beach parking and pay a few dollars or find street parking further away. We took an Uber and it wasn’t an issue for us. I’d recommend doing the same especially if you plan on having drinks. There are lots of police in that area. Overall we had a fabulous time and I’d definitely recommend this venue for a wedding, vow renewal or other special event that will have 150 guests or less. Everything seemed to run flawlessly and the couple were very happy!
